Revealed: why today's "most ethical" Democratic leaders may actually be the most corrupt in American history

Caucus of Corruption

by Matt Margolis, Mark Noonan

In the lead-up to the 2006 mid-term elections, Democrats launched a crusade against what they called a "culture of corruption" in Washington, D.C. -- which, if you listened to them, only existed in the Republican Party. The list of alleged Republican crimes was endless: cronyism, corruption, sexual misconduct, ethics violations ... anything they thought would stick, even if for only a moment. And it wasn't necessary for facts or basic decency to play a role. The campaign worked. The Democrats won - at which time the soon-to-be House Speaker Nancy Pelosi declared "Democrats intend to lead the most honest, the most open and the most ethical Congress in history." But now, Caucus of Corruption: The Truth about the New Democratic Majority tells that other side of the story that the Democrats ignore, and that the mainstream media refuses to tell.

Caucus of Corruption is the story of a Democratic Party that has long gotten a free pass by the media for their illegal and unethical ways. Matt Margolis and Mark Noonan take dead aim at today's "most ethical" leaders of today's Democratic party, not only exposing their plan plan to consolidate power by portraying the Republicans as corrupt, but also detailing the rampant corruption deep in the their own Democratic ranks. Whether it's free trips, taking bribes, or leaking confidential documents to the media, Caucus of Corruption proves that the new majority party in Congress, far from being the "most ethical," just might just be the most corrupt class of political elites ever to grace our nation's capital.

In Caucus of Corruption, you'll learn all about:

  • Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi's rampant cronyism, as well as her campaign finance and immigration law violations

  • How Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid became a millionaire on a senator's salary, plus his questionable land deals and connections to disgraced lobbyists and casino owners

  • Media darling Barack Obama's cozy relationship with the indicted fundraiser next door.

  • Clinton foot soldier Rahm Emanuel's love for dirty money

  • Rep. William Jefferson's refrigerated $80,000 cash stash

  • Chuck Schumer's clashes with campaign finance laws.

  • Who in the Democratic Party is connected to embattled lobbyist Jack Abramoff?

  • How many have run afoul of campaign finance laws?

  • Which Democrats are taking free trips, accepting bribes and lobbyist cash?

As the definitive resource on Democrat corruption and hypocrisy, Caucus of Corruption is a must have for conservatives and Republicans -- and anyone else concerned with cleaning up politics in Washington.

"A powerful, important chronicle"

"Americans who voted for Democrats thinking the party of Nancy Pelosi and Hillary Clinton would "clean up the mess in Washington" are in for a rude awakening, as Matt Margolis and Mark Noonan demonstrate in this carefully-documented book. A powerful, important chronicle of the real 'culture of corruption' in the Democratic Party. -Robert Stacy McCain, The Washington Times, co-author of Donkey Cons

"Margolis and Noonan have cut through the smoke and mirrors to reveal what liberals are really hiding-their complete lack of leadership and refusal to stand up for the values-based agenda most Americans are demanding. This book is a must read for all Americans looking for the unreported motivations behind the Left's political scene." -Tom DeLay, former House Majority Leader

"Washington, D.C. was built on a swamp and, as Caucus of Corruption shows, it has not gotten any cleaner. Since Margolis and Noonan remind us what the mainstream media has forgotten: that corruption is very much a bipartisan scourge." -Richard Miniter, author of Losing bin Laden and Shadow War

This book is a great example of citizen journalists (bloggers) doing what they do bestreporting on the stories the mainstream media refuses cover. The book is a well-researched expose of the corruption that exists in the Democratic party, which came to its majority position by painting the Republican Party as the party of sleaze and corruption. This book does not attempt to gloss over ethical lapses in the Republican party, but rather to show that corruption extends to both sides of the political aisle. A quick, yet informative read, this one is definitely worth checking out.
