Michael Moore Is a Big Fat Stupid White Man
Clarke, Jason; Hardy, David T.
If nasty retorts are all we have to offer as rebuttals...we are in trouble.

While there are plenty of BAD things to point out about Mr. Moore . . . There is a GREAT deal to be said about tact, or lack there of. . . . This book would have been much more effective had the authors chosen a different title. Slamming Mr. Moore is certainly NOT going to invoke his decieved fans to read it or believe it. . . . It's actually only feeding the frustration of our inability to silence this (also decieved) man. Furthermore, where is OUR integrity, guys? Remember, we're the group that is trying to prove that we're the civilized ones of this nation. . . . We're trying to prove that the barbaric mud-slinging is done by the rad lefties. . . . This book unfortunately looks like it's proving otherwise. . . .

The title of this book is horrible. It is not funny at all and plays right into the hands of the liberals who like to stereotype us as negative, backstabbers and and always happy to take the low road. It does not matter if the writers, Clarke & Hardy, have a strong emotional reaction to Michael Moore. After all, many of us do. It is how their critcism is presented that is important. Name-calling dosen't hack it! A succinct, substantive, accurate and well-written arguement does. Present the facts, without your opinion, and let the readers draw their own conclusions. If it is well written, then they will draw the correct conclusions.
The book contains lots of emotion and mean-spirited inuendos without many facts. I had hoped for more.

Truth is a welcome respite from what the insane liberal media has dished out to this country. As for the first, one-star member review, isn't it interesting (and cowardly) that these lame reviewers don't even have the courage to sign their names? I noticed it on many of the negative reviews on this website. I guess it's a good thing though, that they are actually reading truth for a change. Maybe some of it will actually sink in before they destroy themselves and this great nation.
Finally someone tells the truth about Michael Moore . . . not that I needed someone to tell me he's a big fat stupid white man, that was easy enough to figure out on my own through common sense.
David Denmon
Finally, someone is shutting Moore's (and the collective left's) mouth in the same harsh manner as he dishes it out. Sometimes you have to fight fire with fire.
Yes, Yes, Yes. Someone has the guts to stand up to this nut job and the Left's head attack dog. Lets see how many of his followers buy this book to get THE REAL TRUTH about whats going on. It so nice how Mr. moore is making money off of the dead from Sept 11. He loves it when Americans die, he looks at it as a way of making "moore" money. But I could be wrong, well in his eyes I am , I'm just a white guy. . . .

The first, 1-star review, though how the book can be so negatively assessed prior to its public release is a mystery to me, neglects to acknowledge the evidence against Moore's slanted views which he masquerades to his socialist sycophants as axioms. The official review alone is enough to assure me that the book, title notwithstanding, is composed of far more than mere "nasty retorts." Don't judge the book by its attention-getting cover.

Either the detractors of the title of this book are blissfully unaware of the Al Franken and Michael Moore books or they are merely detractors. I'm buying the book because of the title (and the content, of course). As a libertarian I'm sick of playing nice guy with the left... the don't get it.

Its amazing to me how we as a people will blindly accept the oddest things as truth. Also, very odd how someone who obviously has the wherewithall and competency to produce an above-average American living, will totally degrade himself and his own people with factless opinions. Especially when we have been literally attacked by another country, thousands die, and if we dont do anything, they will do moore. And Moore. And Moore. Come on guys. Its ok to be White, Black, Green, successful and Proud to be American. Isnt that what George Washington and the millions who have died since then were all fighting for? Guys, lets get back towards the middle of the road. Quickly, before the world stage we are on crumbles beneath us. Then dear Liberals, we won't have the freedom for you to be ashamed of.

Finally a BIG FAT TRUTH!! . . . Michael Moore IS IN FACT a big fat stupid white man . . . but to me it should have been titled Michael Moore is a BIG FAT STUPID LYING TRASHIE AMERICA HATING GOD HATING ARMED FORCES HATING COWARD LIBERAL PUPPET MORONIC NEEDS A SHAVE AND BATH WHITE MAN...AND THEN SOME!!! . . . the book is excellent!!!! when's the movie coming out?? you could get Yasser Arafat to star as Moore, IF you can convince Arafat to gain more weight and forgo a couple more baths and not brush his teeth for a year.
Apparently it is okay for the Left to be libellous, because it is all in fun . . . I would be very surprised if the authors of this book do not receive death threats. The Left will not read this book because it portrays their icon as being a mere human, and one who is a misleading, essentially evil, propagandist. The book is preaching to the choir, but nevertheless very enjoyable. (To use an appropriate metaphor, I like having ammunition to cut down his fans).

This is a great book. We need more people to speak out against the tripe from the left . . . and if speaking out in their language gets the attention -- keep it coming. Another book I will add to my must buy list . . .

Yeah, change the name of the book. The current name take away the book's credibility.

It's so ironic that the above negative reviewers are such sheeply sycophants that they can't even recognize the fact that the author titled the book as a demonstration of the outrageous tactics that Mr. Moore employs.

The other reviews here are misleading. The title of the book is obviously a play on the titles of Moore's book Stupid White Men and Al Franken's Rush Limbaugh is a Big Fat Idiot. It's called parody, guys. And the title is just about the only ad hominem comment in the whole thing. The rest of it is a treasure trove of Moore myth-busting. Don't judge a book by its cover; get this book so you'll be well-prepared the next time one of your liberal friends starts in with: "But Bowling for Columbine said. . . ."
I am still reading the book, I am happy to hear that Michael Moore thinks this is a nation of idiots, and that if he can reach at least part of it with his book, he has reached something. What a loser, I guess I can go out everyday and reduce someone and get a way with it. I'm glad I wasn't raised like this. To the Democrats enjoy your "POSTER BOY".
Sadly the reviews here only offer an opinion regarding the name of the book. I guess the title of Michael Moore's book Stupid White Men is lost on them. The fact of the matter is that the book details the works of Michael Moore. It shows when confronted about questionable data from his movies, how Michael Moore will only answer the questions with personal attacks instead in an open discussion. The bottom line is if you want find out about the accuracy of Moore's claims this is the perfect book to get. You could give this book the nicest, most politically correct title on the planet, but in the end it won't entice his fans to believe any of it.

I agree with the others in this review . . . Jesus taught us to turn the other cheek. When it comes to politics, we must trust that the general public will weed out the rhetoric of the liberals and understand the facts. But we must teach them. We cannot stoop to the level of Clarke and Hardy here, with a nasty personal attack. Although I may have felt sick reading it, and I disgree with much of the content, Michael Moore's book Stupid White Men
is humorous, thought provoking, and well researched. We must refute his arguments, and create some passionate, humorous conservative books, or once again we will get destroyed this election.

The reviewers so far have failed to grasp that the title is a play on Al Franken's book about Rush Limbaugh which had nearly the same verbiage but with Rush's name. Don't get so upset by it, guys.

It is impossible to take Moore seriously after reading this devastating and witty expose. I especially liked the way the title turned the tables on Al Franken (Rush Limbaugh Is A Big Fat Idiot) and Moore (Stupid White Men). Hilarious and effective.

The title of this book is simply horrible, very childish. The most effective way to deal with Moore is to just ignore him. I remember hearing a phrase that said something like "Don't stop to kick every barking dog." It seems to me that writing a nasty retort to Moore just isn't worth it; his rants are not worth the frustration that it would entail to rebutt them.
Normally I would agree that conservatives should be known as the nice people, characterized by tact and grace. But Michael Moore? When dealing with this uncouth buffoon it's almost essential to take the gloves off! Clarke and Hardy demonstrate, with hilarity, what a deceitful, self-serving hypocrite Moore is (the white man's Jesse Jackson?), all with full documentation. It's about time! Read this book so you can end the argument whenever someone cites Moore as a liberal authority.
The book is full of misinformations. Only peabrains will be able to believe this waste of paper.
Read the book, and its worth time, some of it gets nasty, but more of it is important information to fill in what mike doesn't want you to know.
Contrary to what the other reviewers have said, this book is actually insightful and funny. Yes, we should be dignified, in the face of their indignity, but there's a time and a place for that. This book HAD to match Moore in tone. The only bad part (besides it not having an index) is that aside from the early years, it doesn't really tell us anything we couldn't have learned on the websites www.moorelies.com and www.mooreexposed.com. Other than that, it is a good read.
Sally Borrello
What a GREAT Book! I couldn't set it down once I started reading it! The authors provide real facts, not the cut-and-paste ones that Moore is so fond of using, to inform us what the real MM is like, how and why his movies are lies and what his agenda is. Very eye-opening. I would recommend this book to those who have to deal with MM lovers who have been blinded by his deceit.
People are complaining about the title of this book. Why? Nobody complained when Al Franken wrote a book called "Rush Limbaugh Is A Big, Fat Idiot." I would have. If I were Limbaugh, I would have sued the little creep for every penny he had.

This is a book that uncovers the blatant lies of a very sad, sick guy who is a self-loathing person. He doesn't deserve the success that he has had because of his ingratitude towards the country that has given him this opportunity. Too bad he is using his influence and his talents to destroy rather than to build. What a waste of energy and effort that could have been used for good!
Some of these reviews show me that some people feel that it is more important to stay deceived and remain "politically correct" than to confront lies with the truth. Concerning Michael Moore -- I am reminded of a quote by President Ronald Reagan, "It isn't that Liberals are ignorant, it's just that they know so much that isn't so!!"
Neo-cons, like the people who read this trash and this website, are blinkered, bigoted ignorant fools who are making those of us who should love America hate it. Pray God Bush loses.

This kind of propaganda is ineffective and it does not serve the conservative agenda. The book is poorly written, and -- at times - it seems dishonest. It basically twists very well known facts and it gives the impression to be a hysterical attack.

I've spent a couple of years trying to get a true "read" on Moore, which is almost impossible given the amount of misinformation he cirulates about himself (or allows to be circulated by others). All the information I have verified fits in with what the authors say. The books fills in the gaps on many things. The bottom line is that Moore is a slimy cretin devoid of anything resembling a conscience. Underhanded, misleading, and sometimes blatantly fabricated statements made about himself and others seems to be the only way he knows how to communicate, for I haven't found a single story, statement, or fact he has presented that can stand on it's own merits in the face of facts. That people in this country still believe he is a "documentary" film maker is beyond me. That the press and maintream media tout his wares as the truth is simply appalling. This book has proven to be a great resource for me in my search of the truth. With another perspective from a viewpoint I consider valid, I can validate and re-verify old information as well as generate ideas for new investigations.

The authors have done a wonderful job disproving Michael Moore, and if you don't know enough on your own about the facts Moore distorts, this is for you. However, if you are already well-versed in the topics Moore chooses to lie about, then this book will seem redundant, especially after the second paragraph. Note: I'm 19, so I didn't know anything about Moore's movie, "Roger and Me," so the portion of this book that goes over that was very interesting

When in doubt, start a war. When you cannot say anything smart, start calling names. It war always the republican way. Plus with 60% of americans overweight, you are insulting a lot of people here. Not very smart.
Earlier reviewers attacking the title of this book apparently don't know that it is based on and making fun of the titles of two earlier books: "Stupid White Men" by none other than Michael Moore, and "Rush Limbaugh is a Big Fat Idiot" by Al Franken (both far-left writers).
Leftists have been taking the low road for many years, but now it's not OK when those on the right do it?
I loved this book because it chronicles the falsehoods and purposeful deceipts in Moore's works. Those who are only interested in reinforcing their cherished liberal vision of America should not read it, but should continue drinking Michael Moore's Koolaid. Those interested in the truth should read it.

Well done. Obviously the first review is just someone trying to mislead readers, much like Michael Moore does. I found this book to be informative and compelling. It is important that this and other books, which expose the true agenda of the leftist media and its hypocritical Democratic hordes, are read by the masses!

I haven't read this book. Neither have the people that reviewed it before me; they reviewed the title.
More people should stand up to the hype around Micheal Moore. His "art" is not benefical to any of the "causes" he claims to support. Bravo for writing this book. Could you possibly make John Kerry your next subject?
Slamming Moore nor just saying nasty things is not what Clarke and Hardy are doing here....as some reviews are saying. Eye for an eye, and if the shoe fits, what goes around comes around, all sayings that have much bearing here...why is it that Moore's followers don't mind his book title, but this one bothers them? Hmmm.
If one doesn't get what Clarke and Hardy are stating here, then their eyes are not opened (nor will they get it because they weren't meant to have their eyes opened for the truth). Sounds like the word from our good Book the Bible.....only those with their eyes and ears aimed at the truth will have their eyes and ears opened.
On radio show in Chgo (The Mix morning show), lady named Melissa on their show must be a Moore follower because she said she didn't get why the Passion did so well, but she was a fan of Lion King, her favorite movie of all time !?!? People who understand Clarke and Hardy will understand this paragraph and why Melissa's statements were STUPID just like Michael Moore's statements!

Some reviewers have taken offense at the title of this book, but I think it's a clever, funny, and accurate mockery of the man who has capitalized on such slogans himself. Touche!! I wish you wild success!!!

I would really be surprised if moore understood even 25% of what was said at the republican convention as there were very very few four letter words used. Why do people like him and whoopee constantly make total IDIOTS of themselves. I am 68 years old and I would not waste what time I have left by reading something written by a socialist retard.

This book is OUTSTANDING -- factual, witty, sardonic! Everything I expected, and...MOORE!

There are some good points made by this book, as well as some of the other reviewers about the title of this book. I think that it was very low of Al Franken to title a book Rush Limbaugh is a Big Fat Idiot and I think that Michael Moore's Stupid White Men is erroneously titled as well. However, I think that this book could have been just as effective without stooping to the level of the liberals.
I have read several of Michael Moore's books and seen both Bowling for Columbine and Fahrenheit 9/11. After all, Sun Tsu (see The Art of War) once said that to win a war, know your enemy. I have often tried to confirm the statistics given by Moore, but have been unable to find them, so the fact that he is perhaps fudging the facts is frankly no news to me whatsoever.

I, too, think that the title leaves something to be desired. "Ugly" They left out "Ugly", as in "Michael Moore is a Big Fat Stupid Ugly White Man."

Just a note about the title. For those who might not know, it is taken from the title of a Moore book, Stupid White Men. Just like most of the book does; it takes Moore's words and uses them to make the argument against him. Why shouldn't the title of this book do the the same?

After reading the other reviews on this site, I found it fair to point out that the title "Michael Moore is a Big Fat Stupid White Man" is not exactly just a mean title about our overweight friend on the left. It is mocking the title of Al Franken's awful book, Rush Limabugh is a Big Fat Idiot, as well as Moore's own book Stupid White Men. Maybe I'm the only one who found the title amusing.
So, the argument that this book would've been more productive, having a different title, is something I just don't find valid.
For those that left a review that was more of a COMMENT on the book title and not its content, please...read the book FIRST then leave the review.
You are just as bad as the book's subject.
Lastly, people believe what they read. Or do they.
PS..received...not recieved. Learn to spell.

I feel this book was well written and full of interesting facts. I think this book gives a great insight into the world of Mr. Moore's deception and lies.
I can't believe anyone who gave this amateurish effort above a "three" has seen a film by Moore. I have seen a number of his films and read some of his books. This effort by Clarke and Hardy falls so short of its stated goal (blasting Moore's inaccuracies) that it's almost laughable. The authors have a poor understanding of film, production, and writing. They are also woefully ill-informed of world events. As warped as he sometimes is, Moore is entertaining, funny, and smart. These guys and we as conservatives need to laugh more. Look at Moore's numbers to prove this.
Firstly, I believe that this book has done a good job in one thing: Making already republican supporters, even stronger. However another just as important goal is to convince the left of the validity of your own views. And titling a book with an angry personal attack against another popular author is definitely not the way to go. Moore however "erroneusly titled" his book may be, convinced many republicans of their president's botched leadership, without having to result to flaming and hysterical sounding insults as Clarke and Hardy seem to have. Having flicked through the book and reading several random passages the authors gave me a feeling that they were trying to burn Moore through insult rather than argument. I believe that to win an argument, composure should always be shown. Even if you argue that one must "fight fire with fire", many liberals will simply be turned off to the book - however well defined and researched it's argument - just by it's inflammatory title, and fail to entice them to the republicans way of thinking. And that's half the battle lost already.
Nasty retorts, yes. But that is not all. THis book is full of information disproving Michael Moore's books and films. For those who say "ooh, this book is mean! We have to be nice to the big fat man and his big fat lies!" Shut up. When dealing with someone like this, you don't be nice.
Great book.
And people, stop complaining about the title. It uses his and Al Franken's book titles against him. Good stuff. To the authors, I salute you.
