Why is Hillary So “Unlikeable?” (Author Interview: Ed Klein)

Bestselling author, Ed Klein, emailed us his answers to questions we asked him about his new book, Unlikeable: The Problem with Hillary Clinton.  See why Hillary is so “unlikeable!”

Congratulations Mr. Klein on your new book, Unlikeable: The Problem with Hillary!  Can you give us an overview of your book?

Hillary Clinton may be “unlikeable” as I write in my new book, but conservatives should not forget that she may also be electable. She is a formidable candidate.  If we conservatives underestimate her, we do so at our own peril.

What new information do we learn about Hillary Clinton from your new book that the general public may not be aware of?

If you want to know what’s happening behind closed doors – the intrigue, backstabbing, and deliberate deception at the highest levels of the Democratic Party between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama – then you should read this book.

Why fundamentally do you believe Hillary has an image problem?  Her supporters say she is the most successful and well-known woman in the world having served as US Secretary of State, as a US Senator, and as First Lady.  Why has she not been able to capitalize on all this?

Hillary is a Nixonian character with a bunker mentality – angry, self-pitying, defensive, secretive, paranoid – and she is not qualified by her personal character to be President of the United States.

Do the Obamas want Hillary to be the next president?  Earlier this year and in your new book, you reported it was Obama White House Senior Advisor, Valerie Jarrett, who leaked the email server story to the media.  And the story continues to haunt the Clinton campaign with its “drip-drip” effect to this day.  Is the Obama administration behind all this, and to what end?

Barack Obama and his Chief Political Advisor, Valerie Jarrett have urged Vice President Joe Biden to get into the race for the Democrat nomination because they do not want to see Hillary Clinton succeed Obama in the Oval Office. They do not trust her to carry out Obama’s legacy, and they don’t want to turn over control of the Democratic Party with all its patronage, money, and power to the Clintons.

Can Bernie Sanders, or Joe Biden, beat Hillary Clinton for the 2016 Democrat presidential nomination?

Socialist Bernie Sanders cannot be nominated and Joe Biden will have a hard time overcoming Hillary’s advantage in money, donors, endorsements, and organization.

Hillary has been getting good reviews for her stint on Saturday Night Live the previous weekend.  What did you think of Hillary’s SNL appearance playing the role of bartender to an SNL actress playing a very-much-in-need-of-a-drink Hillary Clinton?

Hillary is desperate to prove that she is likeable. One stilted and forced performance on SNL isn’t going to change her image. That image of unlikeability is baked permanently into her personality.
