Is Ted Cruz’s strategy towards state GOP delegates unfair to other candidates who receive more votes? Vote in our CBC member poll below!
Whatever John. I understand his team wasn’t working the ground game. You should read up on the delegate selecting tactics Cruz people used in Georgia. He came in 3rd here and wasn’t allotted any delegates. But there was still a herd of them and they took over. It had nothing to do with hard work or skill. Enjoy it, take pride in your man – they shut my man out district after district.
But when he’s president it will all change. Just like everything else that doesn’t work well.
April 17, 2016,9:48 pm
People, unfair??? He is operating with in the system that each state has chosen for itself. I thought Trump was smarter and better than everyone else. Funny he isn’t out smarting Ted!!!
April 17, 2016,2:00 pm
LOL, one other observation after reading statements from the Trumpys below. They are all ignorant and simply want Trump declared king. Cruz and Trump are competing under the same exact rules, that they both knew were in place before any votes were made. Now that Trump sees that 65% of Republicans absolutely do not want him he wants to say the votes of those 65% shouldn’t count. Hate to say it, but he is just another democrat and I won’t vote for any democrat!
April 17, 2016,12:08 pm
This is truly hilarious hearing Trump the bully whining that Cruz is so unfair to him, especially since Cruz is playing by exactly the same rules as Trump. Cruz’s efforts to gain delegates does show us two things. First, Cruz is smart and savvy. Second, Trump is lazy and a whiner.
April 17, 2016,12:03 pm
It will be nominee DT and president DT and then he will change the voting system. It is so confusing like it is now. As of today it looks like DT will go in with the 1,237 or get more unbound delegates before the first vote. He’s going to win win win.
April 16, 2016,10:10 pm
IF IT IS GIVEN TO TED CRUZ I WILL NOT VOTE REPUBLICIAN OR DEMOCRATAIC BUT WHO EVER ELSE RUNS .
April 16, 2016,7:02 pm
This is very unfair, the people don’t have any rights. There should never be a campaign where the citizens of that state can’t vote. This is very, very wrong.
April 16, 2016,1:26 pm
Totally agree curious.
April 16, 2016,12:09 pm
DT will beat him at the game but I love how Trump called on the people for thought if not compassion on the subject. He is a brilliant revolutionary for all Americans.
April 16, 2016,12:06 pm
Trump is a business man. This country need to be run like a business. If Cruz was running a hot dog stand, he’d be bankrupt in a week. Instead of charging for them, he’d be paying people to take them. That’s the way this country has been run for a long time. That’s why we have a 19 Trillion dollar debt and rising 2.4 billion every day.
April 16, 2016,9:01 am
People have COMPLAINED about this for years now, but you ask them ” When was the last time YOU went to a city meeting, county or let your voice be heard at state or party meetings ? ” I’ll bet that is far and few between , MAYBE 4 years ago. We hear about how busy we are and how they don’t listen to us, maybe if they saw US FACE TO FACE in mass they would get the message.
We the people need to GET INVOLED , go to the school board meetings and see what they are teaching our future generations ( Civics , History ) . Don’t assume that all this revisionist history and Government classes are teaching is right. They need to use the ORIGINAL DOC’S and then they can teach the real current material with REFERENCES so that they ( the kids ) can learn to be able to research and think for them selves instead of what the MSM wants them to hear.
THE BOTTOM LINE IS GET INVOLED , IF YOU DON’T YOU WILL REAP WHAT YOU SOW !
April 15, 2016,8:18 pm
If Trump had done it first, would these people still say it’s unfair?
April 15, 2016,8:17 pm
Josephine, DT isn’t a greasy politician. It has already worked in his favor in meshing with his people who are unyielding in their support.
April 15, 2016,8:03 pm
Even when the DT campaign needs to get up to speed, you still see America voting him up. In talking about the issue after the complaint, he finds a way to connect with the people who he cares about.
A movement always sides with change over the rules. That’s the stand of a revolutionary. Trump thinking is progressive and brilliant – which wins the nomination and then the presidency.
That is not projection Ted… but you keep on tryin’ now.
April 15, 2016,7:20 pm
Ted Cruz super packs is all jurks.
April 15, 2016,7:00 pm
Yes Cruz did indeed play by the rules……written by politicians. This is one reason I’m a little uncomfortable voting for him. I choose Trump because he is NOT a politician. Ok Trump messed up. But with Cruz doing this all kind of under the table just makes him less attractive to me. If he can win when the people actually VOTE more power to him. Doing it this way….no matter what the rules….will hurt him more than help him…..especially with those thinking we could support him if Trump does not get the nomination.
He played by the rules……but…..?
April 15, 2016,6:27 pm
Cruz is dangerous more than snake, you don’t know when he can attack you.I am immigrant Democrat woman and I gave my vote to Mr. Trump because he loves his country.
April 15, 2016,6:17 pm
Cruz did play by the rules……but……?
April 15, 2016,6:17 pm
April 15, 2016,5:52 pm
I believe Ted Cruz is playing as fair as can be, did Donald Trump check his facts as such a brilliant billionaire as he says he is and as smart as he is suppose to be as a business man. Well Donald how smart is smart?
April 15, 2016,5:37 pm
Na its strategy man
April 15, 2016,5:22 pm
What about we the people for the people. Not the Republican or democratic party
April 15, 2016,5:09 pm
I would be curious to know how voters feel about a slightly different question.
Is Ted Cruz’s strategy unfair to the voters?
April 15, 2016,4:59 pm
Do not underestimate Trump, he knows what he is doing, staying in the news and not paying for ads. He doesn’t have all his cards on the table. Besides running campaign for president he is also trying to reform the wicked ways of the GOP as Sanders is seeing in democrat party.
April 15, 2016,4:47 pm
It just happens that Senator Cruz absolutely knows what he is doing; Trump needs to get informed and stop lying about EVERYTHING! Stop playing the VICTIM!
April 15, 2016,4:42 pm
I will not vote for him dure to his crooked ways
April 15, 2016,4:25 pm
Trump needs a quiz ., Republican Party rules and guides and policies. He needs to turn in his taxes.
April 15, 2016,3:16 pm

April 14, 2016,7:22 pm
I think Cruz should go back t Canada, He is scary in my opinion and he should either live in Canada or back to Cuba.
April 14, 2016,12:14 am
Agree with you Josephine, Bob n Dewayne. trump is a cry baby. From what I heard. He DID know the rules. He’s just angry because Colorado didn’t like him!!! As far as a Citizen. SUE, as long as his mother is an American Citizen, HE is also an American Citizen. We should do our homework first before we accuse.
April 13, 2016,7:20 pm
If there are different rules for different states than Donald Trump should not be a nominee if he wasn’t smart enough to look into the rules that the other candidates have played by that should tell you how intelligent he is and/or was.
As far as impeaching Ted Cruz you should like a real ass Sue if that is what you are stating about Ted Cruz what say you about the President you now have what did you know of him before he was elected and where and what country did he come from Hawaii that is a real joke he came from Kenya and all his records were doctored did you check him out before you elected him into the WH.
April 13, 2016,4:58 pm
Remember : Ted Cruz is Canadanian birth, Contitionail Laws by the book MUST be natural born USA. Impeach Ted Cruz immedately!
April 13, 2016,3:40 pm
Dislike Cruz’s smirking cockiness.
April 12, 2016,11:19 pm
I just got a form Maricopa County Record collection from 111 S. 3rd Ave. Suite 102 Phoenix, AZ 85003 on his card they are saying that I am a Democrat and I voted for Donald Trump as a Republican and I just got this card three days ago and my mail now tell me how many more people have had this problem ? So I gave them a call at 602-506-1511 and they said that I voted into thousand six as a Democrat and I did not this is the first time I ever voted in Arizona and it was for Donald Trump I have to walk in there and change my vote is ASP is what she told me i’ll try it is for the people ! 👍🙏 Buddy in United States needs to get up go to your Maricopa County to make sure you go vote and me without any problems and they will not be no long lines if you have the right proper document luck and Ted Cruz I’m so upset with you Colorado it’s not your fault go vote and vote hard for Donald J Trump 👍🙏
April 12, 2016,7:15 pm
why is it unfair? he is playing by the rules the same as they have been for years. Trump to stupid to realize you can insult your way to the presidency. He can cry all he wants hell never get my vote.
April 12, 2016,5:41 pm
It just proves Trump is too incompetent to be POUS. Ted Cruz it the real deal, deal with it.
April 12, 2016,4:16 pm
Oops, meant “Stunned there are so many on this site who have been deceived.”
April 12, 2016,4:05 pm
God help us! The eyes have been blinded to the truth. The liar is Donald J. Trump! Ted Cruz is following the rules and Trump is whining and complaining in any state where he is too incompetent to compete and loses. The delegates were chosen from over 65,000 people who participated in the party’s selections. If Donald really wanted to win the state, maybe he should have shown up and participated instead of sending an inept surrogate from his team. We’ve had 8 years of a yahoo who doesn’t follow the constitution or laws, we sure don’t need another arrogant narcissist-in-chief. Stunned their are so many on this site who have been deceived.
April 12, 2016,4:01 pm
Cruz is a lyin’ greaseball……con man sleeze……..this person gives me the creeps big time…………Trump is the man for the job….at least he tells it the way it is…….BIG CHANGE IS NEEDED AND NEEDED NOW OR THE USA WILL GO DOWN THE TUBES………RADICAL CHANGE IS ALL WE CAN NOW HOPE FOR….TRUMP 2016!!!
April 12, 2016,3:57 pm
I guess Colorado are not smart enough to vote for the candidate they might want. To much weed???
April 12, 2016,1:38 pm
those have been rules of our party. if someone who has said the ” Republican side is not His Side” had not researched the other party before he entered into a primary race for The President of the United States??!! ah?? what are you doing sir in a primary from a party that is not ” your side?!!
April 12, 2016,3:01 am
My comment disappeared. Cruz has already pulled dirty tricks and telling lies from day one. We have put up with that from Obama for almost 8 years. Cruz will do and say anything, including lying to get votes. Haven’t we had enough of that? We already know that is what we will get from Hillary and have been getting for years. Enough is enough.
April 12, 2016,12:01 am
Why is he allowed to get away with this??? Is this the type of president we want in the White House??? Already proven he will pull dirty tricks to get votes. We have already had almost 8 years of lies and behind closed door deals. Enough is enough.
April 11, 2016,11:50 pm
Cruz is an illegal immigrant and the entire political system is made of crooks and crimanals that hsve more crimanal offenses that the majority of the inmstes
April 11, 2016,10:51 pm
Trump needs a quiz . If he does not pass. He needs to be expelled from the Republican Party. He needs to abide by the rules/ guidelines. Trump is smart because he and Kasick blocked Cruz from Michigan. Was this wrong?
April 11, 2016,10:02 pm
Ive voted over the past 30 years or so and i never realized how bad the system was riged until this year the people want trump and the gop don’t what a joke thats why im a independent
April 11, 2016,8:47 pm
We can’t really blame Cruz if he can get these delegates. It’s the system! The GOP is trying to do anything and everything to keep Trump from getting the nomination. Anyone paying attention can see this! To say otherwise is ridiculous! My guess is that the members of the establishment, that talk to Cruz and his team all the time, told him how to go about getting these delegates without a vote. It’s not fair and I’m fed up with the GOP party. I admire Trump for hanging in there for the people. He has a will of steel for sure! They are working against him and because of that it’s amazing the number of votes he still gets! I hope this backfires on the GOP party!
April 11, 2016,8:32 pm
Donald j rump is like three year old that has to have it his way and if he doesn,t cruz is lyin the system is crooked whines and cries and he is like iowas weather give it a day and it will change #nevertrump #sleezballtrump #coward trump #onlycruz #lioncruz #cruz2016

Ted Cruz is a scumbag he’s not the solution he is the problem America
April 11, 2016,6:25 pm
It’s not only not fair on the GOP side the Democratic side is crooked !
April 11, 2016,6:15 pm
The delegate system was established for just the type primary we are seeing this year. Trump has received about 35-38 percent of the votes and will not receive the nomination unless he receives 50 percent of of the delegates. This is as it should be, although Trump supporters seem to believe that the delegates won by candidates which have dropped out should not be able to vote for any of the remaining candidates. The fact that most of those delegates will likely be “anyone but Trump” supporters has Trump and his supporters scared, since his campaign failed to learn the primary rules. He needs to learn the rules for each state and quit whining.
April 11, 2016,6:09 pm
Ted Cruz is certainly living in the gray area. Please America be aware and speak up
April 11, 2016,5:20 pm
Ted Cruz’s delegate strategy is shrewd. There is nothing unfair about it. Cruz doesn’t make the delegate rules; he just knows how to work within them. If am very disappointed with Donald Trump. He doesn’t appear to have a strategy. If he says that he is going to choose the brightest and smartest people for his administration, he should have started with hiring the smartest to run his campaign. For God’s sake’s, he owns enough casinos to know that the odds favor the house. That doesn’t mean that you can scrap the rules and play the game that you want. Trump should stop whining and show us how you win!
April 11, 2016,5:20 pm
Obviously, the vast majority of those voting do not understand that these are NOT elections by the people. It is a party election for candidates for the political party. Each party in each State determines how its party proceeds as established by State law. The majority requirement to receive the presidential nomination has been around from the beginning. When Abraham Lincoln was nominated in 1860, he went into the convention in something like third or fourth place. The convention was held in Chicago and after three/four ballots, he received the major votes of the delegates. The delegates to the convention nominate the candidate not the people voting. The people voting elect some of the delegates. By rule, those delegates must vote for the winner of those delegates through the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd ballot depending on that State’s rules. Ted Cruz knows the rules and is using that to his advantage just as Abraham Lincoln did. Donald Trump seems not to know the rules. Using a football analogy, he seems to think he should be awarded a touchdown if he reaches the five yard line. It does not work that way according to the rules.
When you are in a contest, know the rules. If possible use the rules to your advantage. The rules are not being changed during the process. However, when the convention begins, the delegates may modify the rules for that convention. That is part of the process. I do not believe either the Cruz or the Trump delegates will allow the rules to be changed to allow someone else to be nominated. I certainly don’t think the majority of the vote rule will be changed.
This is a simplified explanation of a complex process that has different rules for each State. The fact is, Ted Cruz knows the rules and has been using the rules to his advantage. That is what you are suppose to do. Again, using the sports analogy, use the rules to your advantage to win the game. Every coach, team, organization tries to do that. Some are better at it than others. Ted Cruz is very good at it. Donald Trump, not so much. That is his fault not Ted Cruz’s.
And yes, I support Ted Cruz. I have supported him since he was at 2% in the Senate race in Texas in 2012. In my opinion, he is by far the best candidate to restore the Constitution and take back the nation which is what I want to happen. Ted Cruz is the real outsider not Donald Trump.
April 11, 2016,5:17 pm
What is the point of “the people” voting–the party establishment making up rules as we go and insuring the election of someone who will keep up the status quo in Washington ! Make America great again! TRUMP
