Had my own idea of who he should pick, all younger than Newt and a variety of backgrounds. But I’m not Trump and I don’t have all his reasons. Talking with my hubby about this and we both agree that when it is “real” and he will be making choices he will do the right thing, he will listen to experts, he will be able to compromise (deal), he will have a vp to help him with things that need to be done and be a great help when bills will need to be passed. How anyone can vote for Clinton amazes me with what she has done and with getting away with murder of Americans, one of which she called a friend. Read and learn about the Clintons and you will either change your opinion or be a sheep without a brain to think.

I would have liked Gingrich, but Pence is a good choice. And he has SOME advantages Newt wouldn’t: he’s 15 years YOUNGER than Newt (both presidential candidates this year are setting AGE records); he’s calmer and more even-tempered. Also, he COULD help solve our problem in Indiana, where we might lose Dan Coats’s Senate seat to Evan Bayh (D), who is inexplicably popular, and even risk carrying the STATE for Trump-Pence if Bayh attracts a lot of new voters. We NEED Indiana, and having Pence on the ticket may help us ensure that we’ll win (the Senate seat too)

Pence sounds like a good choice.
He has, the much needed Military experience, we have been without.
The experience was there, but never tapped into.
We might see some success,, against Muslim ISIS.
Makes a sensible balance, Trump on the economy. pence on our Defense.

They are all good choices, Newt, pence and chris, I would have preferred Newt but pence has a more neutral apeal, it s all good cause Newt will be helping and Chris said he will also, those two could be part of Trumps cabinet, I hope the select Trey Gowdy for AG cause he was born for that post, I hope we get a grip on our nation and Make america great, thats where we belong, vote Trump.

Trump needs statesman type VP to balance his lack of same. Trump has no clue about the scope of knowledge needed to perform the duties of the office , regardless of what he has learned by watching tv shows.
Frankly, I can’t believe that he has convinced the large number of people that he has attracted with his bombast while insulting whole classes of people, religions, and races.

Who’s “John’? Think he needs to be extradited to Bengazi!

Nothing against any, but “Geographically speaking” GovPence is from Indiana, which is NEXT TO 1 of 3 “Swing States” where he is currently tried with Clinton….Ohio. Regardless, my vote is STILL w/Trump!

My choice is Newt Gingrich, who also is a very strong personality, but a Conservative, which we desperately need. Newt has the experience and most of all Integrity.

John, so I guess what you are saying is that you will make the horrifying choice of voting for Hillary Clinton, the most corrupt, dishonest creature that has ever run for office! Your logic makes a lot of sense!
An other bad choice.
I will not vote fro trump. We are tired of bad choices!
We can live and listen any more of all the stupid things that he is doing.
He is too suborn, too proud, and he doesn’t listen to no body.
He had a good policy but he cannot achieve the goals of his policy because he doesn’t cooperate and listen to the people who want to help him.
Trump just fuck all our hope, time and money!!

I don’t know that much about Gov. Pence, but if Trump has picked him, that’s his prerogative, made after much consideration I am sure, and I support the choice. Gingrich is too much the internationalist; America needs to recover from the likes of that crowd. not fall any further into that trap. Plus, it honors ‘the great state of Indiana’ for coming through for Trump and putting him over the top in the primaries.

We need Gingrich a better choice
July 14, 2016,5:50 pm
Neither Newt or Pence are not good choices. Both are not Conservative enough and both are moderates. Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) would be a better choice because he is a true Constitutional Conservative!
I think Mr. Pence will be an excellent choice. I also think some of the other contenders will fit perfectly in other high positions Mr. Trump will have. Good Luck Mr. Trump.

I think its a good pick. I like Gingrich and think he would be a great Secretary of State or Cabinet member, he could clean house there….
July 14, 2016,4:37 pm
I believe Newt Gingrich would be a great VP for you Mr. Trump.

“Within the first eleven months, we canceled or delayed over 1,500 planned regulatory actions, more than any previous president. Instead of eliminating two old regulations for every one new regulation, we have eliminated 22! We aimed for 2 for 1, and in 2017, we hit 22-1.”
“I promised we would pass a massive tax cut for the everyday, working American families who are the backbone and the heartbeat of our country…. We want to give you, the American people, a giant tax cut for Christmas. And when I say giant, I mean giant.”
