Member of the Week: Michael Connors (Radio Host of “Ask the Lawyer”)

by Christopher N. Malagisi

Michael Connors The Mission AM 570

Congratulations Michael on being our Conservative Book Club “Member of the Week!” Tell us a little bit about yourself and your radio show!

I am an estate planning and elder law attorney. On the first part of “Ask the Lawyer” we discuss estate planning and elder law issues; during the second half of the show, we talk with various experts, celebrities and newsmakers about history, religion, sports and classic entertainment.

Among our list of guests are: Newt Gingrich, J. C. Watts, Former NATO Secretary General Anders Rassmussen, Fran Tarkenton, Mike Huckabee, Garry Kasparov, Wayne Rogers, Rick Santorum, John Sununu, Andrew V. McLaglen, Ron Maxwell, Orson Bean, Lt. Col. Ralph Peters, Noted Historian Ed Bearrs, Ed Bonekemper, Patrick Wayne (President of John Wayne Cancer Institute),  TGen. Robert Scales, Brian Kilmeade, Dana Perrino, Mark Burnett, Michael Steele, Burgess Owens, Gavin McInnes, Dick Morris and Rich Little.

What type of law do you practice?  Did I hear correctly that HBO actually taped a seminar you once did?

At Connors and Sullivan, we practice all aspects of Elder Law, Probate and Estate Planning. And yes, HBO did tape a seminar of ours about 15 years ago for their company employees. Also, I did a live session for them about seven years ago.

What got you interested in the work you currently do?

The people who walked in the office.

Any advice for aspiring attorneys?

Make sure you really want to be a lawyer before you go to law school.
