We should just get out of NATO the UN, and the WTO. The Communists have taken Western Europe anyways, so it has no purpose or mission anymore. The dictator’s club is a joke. If the US pulled out of the UN it would do a lot for global freedom because many would not let China, Russia and Africa run their lives. The bankers will have to get global government without us so we can go back to being number 1 again.

We should manage our military cooperation and alliances on a case-by-case basis, moment by moment. Washington warned us about entangling permanent alliances in European affairs. The French and Germans are just scamming us to keep their dystopias afloat. We should project power from Poland, Hungary and the Balkans where our assistance would be appreciated and more useful. We should form something longterm with the UK, Canada and Japan, and that would be far more useful around the globe at this juncture.

Make the others pay their way, and not with the money that we always throw at them, either.

    The Question is too simple.

Few, of us Americans pay enough attention to NATO or defense spending of any kind to be able to intelligently discuss it.

We’ve been carrying some of the European countries since before WWII. It’s high-time they started paying their share for their own security in NATO!!!

NATO members need to start paying their fair share. However we need to remember we have bases around the world with certain benefits which may compensate for the country not paying its fair share. As a retired USAF vet, I see no problem with the Germans not paying 2% if the buildings they are providing are tax free, or have reduced taxes or something like 50% of electricity is free. Trades amongst US military services is quite common as are trades during emergencies amongst foreign militaries.

We cannot continue to support different entities like NATO when others do not pay to play in the organization. We need balance and all members of NATO must pay their fair share. I, too, am sick of the liberal press taking pot shots at everything Trump tries and does. He has done more for us, the real America, than we had in the last eight or more years. God bless him, and keep him going forward. He will stumble, fail at some things, but he is trying to right the ship and has already prevailed in several areas. and remember this: There is only one way to avoid criticism, do nothing, say nothing and be nothing.

Every country should pay its fair share and the amount it agreed to. Today Trump was mocked at NATO thanks to our liberal press that has spread its hatred world-wide. They need to understand that the United States will no longer underwrite this but has stood up for the agreement that they signed. We do what we say and so should they if they want any respect in the world.

We should pay only a fair
Share and if countries don’t then out they go. The
Don’t respect us if we pay
More. They think we are fools.

Yes we should not be expected to pay more than our fair share. Particulary when a great many of the nations don’t pay nearly the amount they owe and have no respect for us as a country yet expect us to carry the majority of the financial burdens. In our accepting that responsibllity we are in essence telling them that it is ok to disrespect us, that we will turn our heads when they ignore things such as human rights violations that are rampant throughout the world….these things are NOT acceptable. We have the right to expect all the nations to pay their fair share, treat us with respect and follow the rules the organization was set up for. As Americans we can not stand by and allow this organization to continue to operate the way it has for the past several yeaars.
