Paul Kengor’s Top 13 Books About Ronald Reagan

In this exclusive author interview, we asked former Professor Paul Kengor which books on Ronald Reagan he thought every conservative should read. Read our list to see his Top 12 (plus one!)A Pope and a President

Paul Kengor, a professor of political science at Grove City College, is author of over a dozen books, including seven books on Ronald Reagan. His most recent book is A Pope and a President: John Paul II, Ronald Reagan, and the Extraordinary Untold Story of the 20th Century (ISI Books).

On Kengor’s impetus to make this list, he said “When Chris Malagisi asked me to compile a list of my five favorite conservative books, I knew that wouldn’t be easy. How would a narrow them down? More important, which favorites would I leave out, or forget? Instead, I suggested compiling my five favorite books on Ronald Reagan. Chris liked the idea. Well, the list then expanded to 10, and then to 12. It could have gotten larger still, but 12 seems like a reasonable number. Even then, I added one more—a baker’s dozen. With that, here are 12 (plus one) of my favorite books on Ronald Reagan. ”
