Johnny Depp is in hot water after comments he made at an arts festival in Glastonbury, England. He asked the crowd “Jesus Christ. Can we bring Trump here?” — eliciting predictable booing.
Depp elaborated, saying in supposed jest “No, no, no, you’ve misunderstood completely. I’m not insinuating anything, but… by the way, this is going to be in the press, and it will be horrible… but I like that you’re all a part of it. When was the last time an actor assassinated a President?” See his full comments in the video below.
Depp is merely the latest celebrity to use violent rhetoric in regards to the President, echoing last month’s Kathy Griffin photoshoot and comments made in January by Madonna about blowing up the White House.
