The players who kneel are disrespectful of our flag and country and they want to label it a protest, make it racist, blame it on Trump, say it is because of police brutality, or make it look like the poor blacks are being singled out and picked on. No it is not about Colin, even though he started the bullshit. They violated the NFL rules and broke several federal laws and want the nation to stand with them. Most of us love football but our country comes first. There is a place and time to protest and it is not on National TV, not on company time (try that at any major company in America and see how long you work there), it violates the rights of those who pay to see football competition and not a bunch of whiners who think they need more attention. Those who do not respect our country enough to stand as they are supposed too for our National Anthem, do not belong in this country and for sure they should be banned from ever playing NFL football again. It is more enjoyable to watch HS and college football where education is required to play and where the heart of the players is on God, Country, and winning instead of whining.

Mr. Kaepernick was not and is not the real cause of our current situation.

The problem appears to be due to the irresponsibility of the general manager of the San Francisco 49ers.

A football stadium is a place of work for football players and staff. As such, management establishes rules and protocols.

When Mr. Kaepernick first sat, the general manager should have established that all will show respect for the flag and the national anthem.

The 1st Amendment does not apply to the workplace.

The blame, for this ridiculousness, stupidity, and divisiveness, must be shared by the ownership of the 49ers and by Mr. Roger Goodell, the Commissioner of the NFL,

The media, especially CNN, with MSNBC a close second, has exacerbated this insanity by promoting racism as the major factor. Don Lemon of CNN said that “taking a knee is constitutionally protected”. The producers and the legal department should have known that is an incorrect statement and apparently meant to inflame this phenomenon.

An extremely serious question should be asked; why did CNN’s legal department allow that statement?

The media is demonstrating that yellow journalism is an ugly tool that they will not hesitate to use.

Fair minded people of all ilks must be demonstrably outraged.

A rational solution to mitigate the damage done would be that Mr. Goodell and the ownership of the 49ers issue a joint statement apologizing to the nation for massively mishandling this matter.

This mishandling by the 49ers and the NFL leadership appears to be caused by a combination of ignorance and stupidity which can be reversed by a sincere mea culpa, whereas certain media cannot utilize that path due to their apparent agenda, bias, and vicious premeditated intentions.

One should be empathetic and understand why some have expressed their disdain for our flag. They have suffered from a confluence of factors, including the media massively misleading them.

Next time, I will offer greater clarity, i.e., what I really think.

The FCC should be admonished to review this matter with great urgency, diligence, and sincerity.

The NFL has a rule in their rule book that requires all players to remove helmets and stand at attention during the Natioal anthem. Can anyone verify this? If they signed a contract and thats part of their agreement, then why are they not doing it? Jan Rowe

The NFL is a business and as such should be run like a business not as a protest organization. I will never watch another NFL game, or purchase any merchandise that the NFL and Players advertise until the disrespect for our country, our veterans, our flag and president ceases. Mr. Bannon you have a point.

I am ashamed of the appalling behavior of the NFL owners, team and coaches. Politics should never have been brought into a game for the public enjoyment.
The white people have gone above and beyond for the blacks in America. Nothing will ever be good enough. They are an ethnic group with no respect for humankind. They don’t want to better themselves. We cannot do that for them. It comes from within. They are not oppressed by anyone other than themselves. As a Nation, somewhat civilized now, let these blacks get by with crime. They refuse to see the big picture. Instead, when one is killed by Police, it is ALWAYS the Police fault. They claim the felon is NEVER at fault. Yet, if the Police don’t get to them quick enough, the Police are wrong. It is a no win for us Whites.
Kaepernick makes millions. Look at the black actors, musicians, Politicians. There are many and they are wealthy. Some of the musicians have killed their fellow musicians. Tupac and Notorious big. In the sports arena the blacks thrive. They kill each other there too. The problem lies within, not with the white people. It will never change or get better. It is getting worse. White people do not stick together. Therefore it is getting worse for us.
What the black coach did to a 3 tours Afghanistan Soldier, bronze medal recipient and now football player is an example of oppression. Villanueva was chastised and most likely threatened with being fired for standing for his beliefs AND rights. No one stood up for Villanueva. The black coach said he was made to look bad, and was not in control over his player. That people is oppression. I will no longer support Sports or Hollywood. I can entertain myself plenty without their help. It will also save me money.
America is in TROUBLE. We are going down. Then everyone will know oppression.

I like this guy, every one of them should thank God every day for a president that is not afraid of what people say about him. Obama was a whimpy puppet on a string and Hillary would have been worse. No more NFL for me, unless they can respect the country that has given them their freedom at the cost of so many young men and women lives. Mr Trump is even protecting the snowflakes that hate him. You have know idea how many millions Obama stuck back of the American taxpayer’s cash and how much he gave away buying muslim friends. “BLACKS AGAINST OBAMA”

In case you have forgotten Colin originally protested about Police Officers who were Placed On Paid Administered Leave Infuriated the Snow Flake because they were being paid. It didn’t occur to him that the defendant Officers had not been Tried yet. bit in his mind they were already Guilty and should not be given a Trial!!!

Owner/s and Coaches should allow players that want to Honor the Flag and Anthem should be allowed onto the Field to do so. Those personnel that don’t, should be kept in the locker room until the end of the ceremony. Those that don’t comply should be Disciplined, up to and including being Fired.
