11 Virtues Biblical Widows Have Taught Us All

Focus

The story of the widow of Zaraphath, told in 1 Kings 17: 8-16, tells the story of a woman’s ability to make the little bit of food-stuff she had left last while she served the prophet Elijah. The story demonstrates the necessity of focus in our lives.

If she had been distracted for a moment, the oil, flour and water might not have been enough and she might not have been able to serve Elijah.  She succeeded because she was able to stay focused on the moment at hand and avoid the distractions that life so often throws at us to deviate us from our true mission.
