10. Illegal Immigration: Illegal Border Crossings Plummet

One of Trump’s proudest accomplishments in his first year as leader of the free world has been taking a stand against illegal immigration and the crime committed by people in this country illegally.

Some of his biggest victories on this front include three separate executive orders aimed at cracking down on international criminal organizations, like drug cartels and gangs, and designating MS-13 as a top priority for the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force. Illegal border crossings have also seen a sharp downturn since Trump’s election.

He has noted this change that has only continued, saying “In the first full month of my administration following the issuance of my executive orders, illegal immigration on our southern border fell by an unprecedented 40 percent.”
