For more than 13 years Bill O’Reilly presided over “The O’Reilly Factor” on the FOX News Channel, the highest rated cable news program. He is a three-time Emmy Award winner, as well as the recipient of a Governor’s Award from the Boston/New England chapter of the prestigious National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Prior to becoming executive producer and anchor of “The Factor,” he served as national correspondent for ABC News and as anchor of the nationally syndicated news magazine program Inside Edition.

O’Reilly was born in New York, and lived in New Jersey and on Long Island. He played semi-professional baseball while attending Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York. O’Reilly taught English and history in Miami prior to returning to school to earn a master’s degree in broadcast journalism from Boston University. He also holds a Master of Public Administration degree from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, where he was a student of Marvin Kalb.

He was married to Maureen McPhilmy, a public relations executive, from 1996 until 2012. The couple have two children, and each resides in suburban Manhasset, New York.
