Dave R. Palmer

Dave R. Palmer is a former superintendent of West Point, retired Lieutenant General of the United States Army, two-tour veteran of Vietnam and accomplished military historian specializing in the campaigns of George Washington and the eighteenth-century American army.

He is also the author of many books including The Way of the Fox and George Washington: First in War.

Publisher’s Weekly raved, “Palmer has a talent for building momentum and suspense, but his most skilled turn is as profiler of the military comrades who would later be foes,” for his writing in (Regnery 2006), George Washington and Benedict Arnold: A Tale of Two Patriots.

A graduate of West Point and Duke University, he lives with his wife in Belton, Texas.
