Matthew Mehan

Matthew Mehan is a poet, scholar, teacher, and musician. He teaches at the Heights School in Potomac, MD. Dr. Mehan credits Shakespeare, Chaucer, Frost, and Emily Dickinson (and more) as his favorite poets and has noted that this book owes a great debt to Lewis Carroll, Aesop, Plato, Seneca, Swift, Dante, and to the lighter verse of Ogden Nash, Shel Silverstein and Dr. Seuss!

Dr. Mehan earned a Ph.D. in literature and philosophy from the University of Dallas. He lives in the Washington DC area with his wife, Molly, and their own not-so-mythical mammals, who love to listen to his bedtime stories
