Nicole Hoplin

Nicole completed her undergraduate education at St. Olaf College in Minnesota.  During her time there, she helped organize lectures with Newt Gingrich, Ralph Reed, and Ben Stein.  She has dedicated her life to advancing conservative ideas ever since Lt. Col. Oliver North inspired her during her freshman year of college!  It is a bond she shares with many who come to know conservatism through a Young America’s Foundation speaker and then go on to work in the Conservative Movement to give others that same life-changing experience.

Upon graduating with political science and psychology degrees, Nicole completed a fellowship with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in the Office of Intergovernmental and International Affairs.  Nicole graduated with her Master in Public Policy degree with a concentration in Nonprofit Management and Leadership summa cum laude from the University of Minnesota in 2007.

She spent several years as Foundation President Ron Robinson’s assistant in Herndon, Virginia.  After relocating to Minnesota, Nicole coauthored Funding Fathers: The Unsung Heroes of the Conservative Movement (Regnery Publishing, 2008) with Ron.  The book profiles the most important philanthropic gifts to advance freedom and free enterprise and the individuals who sacrificed to make those gifts.

Nicole later moved to New York City, and assumed the position of director of foundation relations.  In that capacity, Nicole builds relationships with granting foundations and families to identify mutual goals and develop partnerships to advance freedom and liberty with new audiences of young people.  She has served on the Reagan Ranch Board of Governors since June 2005, lives in Ashburn, Virginia, and is the mother of two handsome little boys, EJ (born in June 2009) and Thatcher (born in January 2011).

She enjoys sharing new experiences with her children, exploring the Virginia countryside, hiking, cooking, spending lazy days at the pool or beach, reading anything from the Wingdingdilly to Wealth of Nations, and hosting family and friends for weekend getaways!
