Shortly before his passing in Feb. 2016, Justice Antonin Scalia expressed some support for the Trump campaign. Bryan Garner, a long-time friend of Scalia and author of the new book Nino and Me, told The Wall Street Journal that “Justice Scalia thought it was most refreshing to have a candidate who was pretty much unfiltered and utterly frank.”
