6 Times the Left Threatened Free Speech On Campus
4. Oberlin College
The students at Oberlin weren’t attempting to halt the free speech rights of conservatives, their complaints were over the unsatisfactory lunches provided by their college. The students felt that the food quality had decreased and accused the distributor of cultural appropriation.
Students circulated a petition with demands including:
- More traditional American meals, like fried chicken, more often.
- Less cream in Afrikan Heritage House dishes. In the petition, students said black American food contains little cream.
