20 Prominent Black Conservatives

Janice Rogers Brown

Janice Rogers Brown is a recently retired Court of Appeals Judge who was not afraid to rule fairly for everyone and enforce the law where it needed to be enforced, unlike some judges sitting today.

Brown faced heavy opposition when she was being confirmed before the Senate, but she prevailed and ultimately served as an appellate judge for twelve years after her appointment by George W Bush.  She’s not afraid to speak candidly about how liberal she was growing up and how she has now found the light as a black conservative.
