O’Reilly’s “Killing England” Reminds Us Why 2nd Amendment Is Important

Bestseller List HERE.

The evening after 59 people lost their lives in the tragic Las Vegas shooting, Jimmy Kimmel gave an emotional monologue where he stated, “The Second Amendment, I guess, our forefathers wanted us to have AK-47s is the argument, I assume.” While no one doubts his sincerity, Kimmel’s statements completely misrepresent the true purpose of a citizen’s right to bear arms.

Killing England, which continues to dominate the Conservative Bestseller List, tells the story of the American Revolution through the eyes of a few Founding Fathers and King George III and serves as an explanation for why America has a 2nd Amendment.  Without muskets used by the colonies’ militia, George Washington and the Continental Army would’ve been unable to wage their revolution against England.

As it relates to today, our 2nd Amendment continues to serve as a protector for citizens against a potentially tyrannous government, as well as for individuals to protect their person and property.

A broadcaster for 42 years, Bill O’Reilly formerly hosted Fox News’ The O’Reilly Factor, the highest rated cable news broadcast in the nation for 16 consecutive years. He has also authored 12 number one ranked non-fiction books including the historical “Killing” series. O’Reilly currently has 17 million books in print.

“The Founding Fathers made it clear that the Second Amendment is important since it is the Second Amendment,” said Christopher Malagisi, Editor in Chief of the Conservative Book Club. “What happened in Las Vegas was horrific.  Instead of honoring the memory of the victims, the Left has sadly politicized this issue.”
