Lynn Vincent

Lynn Vincent is the New York Times best-selling writer of 10 nonfiction books with more than 14 million copies in print. Her best-known titles are Same Kind of Different as Me (with Ron Hall and Denver Moore) and Heaven is for Real (with Todd Burpo.)

Heaven has spent more than 200 consecutive weeks on the NYT bestseller list, with 77 weeks at #1. In 2014, the book became a Sony major motion picture directed by Randall Wallace (Braveheart, Secretariat), and grossed $91 million in the U.S. alone. The book has sold more than 10 million copies, and in 2015 became one of the top 20 bestselling books in Amazon.com’s 20-year history.

Same Kind of Different as Me spent three years on the NYT list, reaching as high as #10, with more than 1 million copies sold. In February 2017, Paramount will release the major motion picture, starring Greg Kinnear (Heaven is for Real, As Good As It Gets), Oscar winner Renee Zellweger, Djimon Hounsou (Blood Diamond, Gladiator) and Oscar winner Jon Voight.

Lynn collaborated with former Alaska governor and vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin on Going Rogue: An American Life (HarperCollins). The book debuted at #1 on the New York Times bestseller list and went on to sell 2.1 million copies. Going Rogue was the top-selling memoir of 2009 and is one of only four political memoirs to sell more than 1 million copies.

While on active duty with the U.S. Navy, Lynn served during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. She has two military books hitting stores in 2017.

Dog Company: A True Story of Battlefield Courage, Taliban Spies and Soldiers on Trial (Center Street Books), written with former Army Captain Roger T. Hill, will release in time for Memorial Day.

On Veterans Day 2017, Simon & Schuster will publish INDIANAPOLIS: The True Story of the Worst Disaster in U.S. Navy History and the Fifty-Year Fight to Exonerate an Innocent Man. Lynn is writing INDIANAPOLIS with filmmaker and honorary Indianapolis survivor, Sara Vladic.

A veteran journalist and author of more than 1,000 articles, Lynn’s investigative pieces have been cited before Congress and the U.S. Supreme Court. She has been profiled in major media outlets, including Newsweek and The New Yorker. She is an accomplished writing instructor and public speaker. Lynn lives in San Diego with Danny Vincent, her husband of 27 years (and counting), and their three Labrador retrievers, Riggs, Abby and Treasure.
