Bill O’Reilly Latest Victim of NYT “Best Sellers” List Deception

Bestseller List is for week of June 2-8 2016

WASHINGTON, DC – The NYT has been exposed once again for deceiving the American public with its hardcover nonfiction “Best Sellers” list.  Showing their liberal bias, they ranked Bill O’Reilly’s new book, Legends and Lies: The Patriots, at No. 6, while every other major bestseller list ranked it at No. 1, including The Wall Street Journal, Publisher’s Weekly, and CBC’s Conservative Bestseller List.

According to Neilson BookScan numbers – considered to be the most accurate book sales data collector, O’Reilly’s book outpaced The New York Times’ No. 1 selection, The Gene, by more than 60%.  This is not the first time the NYT has inaccurately ranked or left out bestselling books by conservative authors.  Previous abuses have occurred with books by Glenn Beck, Dinesh D’Souza, and David Limbaugh.

“Yet again, the NYT refuses to comment and disclose how they rank their ‘Best Sellers’ list,” said Christopher Malagisi, Editor in Chief of the Conservative Book Club.  “They are purposefully misleading the American public and have a consistent record of doing so against conservative themed books and authors.  It’s time the American public demand that the NYT becomes more transparent with their ranking process.”
