4. Rumsfeld is both the youngest and the second-oldest person to serve as Secretary of Defense
Not only did Donald Rumsfeld serve as Secretary of Defense under Ford, he came back and served the same position again under George W Bush. He led the military after 9/11 and ultimately resigned from his second tenure in 2006. When he served under Ford he was the youngest Secretary of Defense ever at 43, and the second-oldest when he served under Bush at 69 years old.
