Sen. Tim Scott

Senator Tim Scott is an American politician who was appointed as a Republican to the U.S. Senate from South Carolina in 2013 and won a special election the following year. He was the first African American to be elected to the Senate from a Southern state since Reconstruction. Scott previously served in the U.S. House of Representatives (2011–13).
