Toby Harnden

Toby Harnden is a veteran foreign correspondent who has reported from all over the world. He has covered the American and British troops in Iraq, Afghanistan and Northern Ireland over the past fifteen years.

As the Washington bureau chief for the Sunday Times of London, Harnden is a dual British and American citizen. He was presenter and reporter for the July 2013 BBC Panorama special, “Broken by Battle,” about Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and suicide among soldiers and veterans.

The British edition of Dead Men Risen is a Sunday Times of London bestseller, and winner of the Orwell Prize, Britain’s most prestigious award for political writing. Mr. Harnden is also the author of Bandit Country: The IRA & South Armagh.

He lives with his family in McLean, Virginia.
