4) George Orwell’s classic, Animal Farm told readers the story of the Russian Revolution through the parable of farm animals that overthrow their human master. As the novel progresses, the vanguard clique of pigs, led by Stalin analogue Napoleon, slowly accrue power and extra rights to themselves. The initial idealism of the revolution is used only as a facade for the greed, violence and exploitation of the pigs, which culminates in the pigs not only getting along with humans but being indistinguishable from them.
