McCain was just frustrated with congressional idiocy. Ann Coulter is right we can’t afford welfare for illegals. That should be reserved for citizens. We also can’t afford free healthcare for illegals but that’s what leftist congress (donkeys and elephants) want to do.

The failure to pass the Republicans’ vision of health care is a reflection of the failure to communicate the necessary provisions that would benefit all Americans. Letting CBO score the plan with a fake estimate gave Democrats a powerful yet untrue means of denigrating the moral fiber of the plan. A transparency not seen in the passage of Obamacare would build faith and educate America to the real difficulties and real costs of each part of a health care plan. Have open sessions with experts in the various aspects of a bill. Then decide on what to accept in each area and pass it. The public will know the truth and understand the logic. They will demand action on each area. The two parties will have to work in a bipartisan manner for what is best in each area. Show how each area will benefit all Americans’ health care. If Americans want better, less expensive care, they have to participate in cost cutting by taking better care of themselves–eating right, stopping use of cigarettes and opioids, and letting the government get rid of fraud with interoperable digital systems. We are a long way from building an innovatively based health care system because we haven’t worked together to learn what woyld be best in that plan. Encourage your Senators, Republican and/or Democrat to get it right in an intelligent, transparent, educational, moral way!

The solution to obamacare. paul ryan and mitch mcconnell along w/ the whitehouse needs to introduce a new obamacare plan.. here it is..
–they need to immediately introduce a plan that repeals congress’ exemption to obamacare.. just in case not everyone is aware, when obamacare was passed the stupid democrats forgot to exempt themselves from it.. so harry reid and nancy pelozi passed a bill that exempts congress and their minions from all froms of obamacare..
    hey mcconnell/ryan–
I DOUBLE DOG DARE YOU TO INTRODUCE A BILL THAT GETS RID OF THE EXEMPTION FOR CONGRESS TO EXEMPT THEMSELVES FROM OBAMACARE… see how fast they move when they are affected by the same POS law that we have to live by.
if not here is another option,,,, just pass a one sentance law,,,,
    — every us citizen gets the same cadiallac healthcare plan that congress gets…
    see simple one sentance done…

its funny how people like collins, mccain and mukowski (sp?) are all out there stating that they didnt want to take away Medicaid/obamacare and yet not one democrat or mccain or graham can find one person who wants and loves obamacare.. if obamacare was so popular, where are all the fans of it.. everyone knows if obamacare was as great as every democrap states it is they would be parading fans of it across the tv screen every second of every day.

Arizona – for the love of god and all that is holy please get rid of this POS mccain. he is the most worthless of any senator. its kinda ironic that he has a brain tumor, wonder how long it took cancer to find his brain, probably right behind his courage. i want to see mccain get medical treatment under obamacare… if you recall when answering a womens question about her 80 yr old grandma.. obama replied “give her a pill to ease her pain until she dies. seems fitting here, just give mccain a pill and a spine. the irony of this whole event that every single democrat is laughing hysterically at mccain for his ignorance and stupidity. it was interesting how he would kowtow to all of the liberals and the media until he ran for pres, then they destroyed him and now he is back begging them for forgiveness… kinda reminds me of hilary, like an abused wife she kept getting beaten and humiliated since the 80’s and all of a sudden when she wins the nomination they are best buds..

It’s very simple: John McCain has been a TRAITOR to America for at least 15 years (when he co-wrote the McCain -Feingold “Campaign finance Reform Act of 2002” — a virtually UNCONSTITUTIONAL “law” that directly led to the successful Citizens United challenge in 2010, a challenge which sent the Left into a tizzy). HE HAS NOT CHANGED! He was probably “brainwashed” in ‘Nam (so it’s only fitting that he now has “brain cancer” in the same brain that was irreparably damaged by Communist brainwashing….)

And as for Susan Collins (ME), there virtually is NO Republican Party in that state (except for Gov. LePage!), so it might as well disband up there…. In the case of Lisa Murkowski (AK), she is PRO “Planned Parenthood”, PRO Obamacare, etc. The fruit doesn’t fall far from the tree — her father, Frank, was ousted from office as Governor by Sarah Palin (because he was too much to the Left by 2006). He had previously succeeded Mike Gravel (a Democrat who was no friend of the Right) as US Senator (the same seat now held by Lisa). it seems to me that due to their close proximity to CANADA (see the border with the Yukon Territory!) that Alaskan politics is more (Socialist) Canadian than American. (I wish we could sell that state, oil included, to Canada and cut bait on that Liberal stronghold for our own good….) We actually need to get rid of McConnell as head of the Senate — by PRUGING these THREE Senators (as well as others) from the Republican Party, force them to become the “Democrats” they really are, and admit that DEMOCRATS are STILL the working majority in the US Senate so THEY would be able to elect Charles Schumer as the Senate Chief (and also to show the world that despite outward appearances, we still have officially “divided government” in Congress)….

7 YEARS OF LYING TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE PROVEN BY THREE GOP SENATORS WHO ARE REALLY DEMOCRATS!!! THE RNC & STATE GOP SHOULD BEGIN A RECALL ON ALL THREE AND REPLACE THEM WITH TRUE CONSERVATIVES. WE THE PEOPLE ARE TIRED OF THE B.S., TO MANY RECESSES, VACATIONS, MEANINGLESS COMMITTEES THAT ARE JUST MEDIA EXPOSURE!!! LET CONGRESS POST THE COMMITTEES AND THE RESULTS!!! IT WILL BE NADA!!! TWO PRIVATE PARTIES THAT COLLUDE FOR THEMSELVES; ONLY CARE ABOUT THEIR REELECTION, NOT AMERICA!!!

  9. Donna Pedrey

The wealth of the middle class was redistributed while you were sleeping…at least give the middle class a tax cut so we can afford insurance…if the middle class is destroyed and added to the Medicaid/Welfare rolls, AMERICA will be destroyed…is that your plan? we know that was Hillary’s plan!

McCain: 892 of 897 in Naval Academy, crashed 5 jet planes, killed 137 sailors on USS Forrestal by starting his jet on the carrier, arming his missiles which shot off and hit other jets starting a fire which went several floors below almost sinking carrier and killing 137 sailors caused by John McCain whose father an admiral let him skate free to Hanoi for 5.5 years.

mccain has bailed on us the last time, why doesnt he just just ship and go democrap. i dont give a rats ass about his time in the military any long, i spent 23 yrs in the air force, and what he has done is such a low blow. he did it the first time when he was running for president, he never wanted to win, i sent him a letter telling him, if he did not want to win, he should have got the hell out of the way so someone that really wanted to win could. nccain can go to hell.he can share a cell with obama. we are sick and tired of his ass.

  22. Kimberly White

The people have been betrayed in a lot of ways, Obamacare being the most blatant. We gave the GOP control of both houses of Congress, the White House, and a majority Supreme Court yet they are wasting that gift by fighting against the duly elected President at every turn. It’s time for the party to get in line and enact the President’s agenda, force votes on his appointees and get the business of the nation moving along again.

    July 28, 2017,9:19 pm

  23. Pat

The Party is partially at fault, but the traitor McCain is the real POS that did the dirty deed. If he drops dead tomorrow, it will be the best thing that old ass wipe ever did in his whole sorry life!

    July 28, 2017,9:03 pm

  24. Bill

Guess it depends on what is the GOP base. If the base is simply those that rabidly hate Democrats and government, then the answer is Yes.

If the GOP base is people who truly want what is best for the people, then stopping the inane repeal bills was not a betrayal.

    July 28, 2017,8:44 pm

  25. Cynthia Murray

Sens. John McCain, Susan Collins, and Lisa Murkowski told their constituents that they are republicans; but when push came to shove they showed their true colors. They are dems and have screwed the working Americans. Each should be recalled for misrepresenting themselves.

John McCain has betrayed his party yet once again…when the voters re-elected him to his position this time to help his constituents and now all Americans. This time all America knows asking was he truly ever a Republican or Dem in disguise. A cheer to Schummer says it all.

    July 28, 2017,7:29 pm

  29. Mickie Enders

Why is it when the Democrats are in control they get their agenda taken care of but the Republicans are letting their opportunities fly out the window!

    July 28, 2017,7:21 pm

  30. Douglas

McCain is a traitor to the American electorate. The national election gave an edict to eliminate Obamacare . John McCain is a politician. We need patriots with courage and dignity.
John is for John. Kick him out.

    Kick the “bums” out.

    July 28, 2017,6:58 pm

  32. Robert Morrow

haven’t we figure out how to pass the sick care bill. It is easy, just allow the Politicians to add their pork to the bill, plus any payola that they can get from it. Then the bill will pass with 100% of yes. Just like they did with Obamacare. All it required is for Reid to bribe a couple of Corrupt Politicians and the Bill was passed with out reading it of course. Remember never trust a Politician or so called News Media people for they will stab you in the back every time.

    July 28, 2017,6:37 pm

  33. Michael Green

He should have gone home from the hospital and retired to spend his last days with his family instead of becoming the most hated Republican traitor in the past 50 years. Shame on him for grandstanding, But that’s what career politicians do, grandstand and be disruptive as they can be.

    July 28, 2017,6:32 pm

  34. Albert Kuyerhuis

I tend to agree that they did betray the voters considering the past efforts during Obama’s tenure to kill Obamacare. However, it is also true that political parties are coalitions of interests. In the pre-Obama years Congress was far more bi-partisan with factions of the Dems and the Reps to find common ground. The current situation seems to be more British where one is for something because the opponent is against.

Jay Ryan you exactly right! That’s why we need Term Limits Now! It alone would save billions of dollars on retirement for these corrupt elitists. We the people need to push for it, go on line and sign the petitions that are out there. For me it’s Convention of States. I went as far as getting in touch with them and asked questions, like fear of leftist taking over, and was given great answers to how they can’t. Plus having a check on scotus by the states. Get out there and fight for what you believe! Yes I’m pissed off and going to write both Prez Trump and Sen Cruz an email.

They are all trying to cover now. When they knew that repeals would not pass they voted for it. Now we see them making deals to have just enough votes to nearly pass repeal. Failure Care will collapse. It already is, two people jumped to their death in NY because they could not afford health care now.

I keep seeing some people saying “just let it fail” but the damage to millions of people will be a tidal wave, next the communist party will jump up and down attempting to blame the majority party in power ( and in this specific case it will be accurate) and scream and cry for their dream all along A SINGLE PAYER PROGRAM CONTROLLED BY THEM-GOVERNMENT.
    Please WTH up.

    July 28, 2017,5:23 pm

  41. Jerry Del Vecchio

They said, “to repeal Obamacare, we need the House” and they got it. Then they said, “in order to repeal Obamacare we need the House and the Senate” and they got it. Then they said, “we need the House, the Senate and the White House to repeal Obamacare” and they got it. And what did they do? They didn’t do a damn thing but betray those who voted for them and those who voted for President Trump. They are a sad lot and they need to be replaced.

    July 28, 2017,5:17 pm

  42. Jay Ryan

They are a total disgrace. They are a pack of lying In Name Only Republicans. The Dem/Com/Prog party is far worse & more insidious & intent on destroying America Land of the Free. Their target is old USSR where they can have total control.
None of the Rep.s would be allowed into the early 60s Dem party with the exception of Ted Cruz. 31 of 50 states voted Trump in to get this & all the other must have Fixes on his agenda. Political Correctness/Mao Communist insanity must be stamped out dead, and right NOW. Trump is trying. But just like we realized during the campaign “When both parties join forces against ONE CANDIDATE-THERE IS A DARN GOOD REASON! With the GOP’s epic failure and betrayal its quite evident now. Wake up America those congress people do not represent you.
Step aside and let Donald Trump Make America Great Again. That same phrase was first used by our most successful president-Ronald Reagan.
    God bless America!

    July 28, 2017,5:15 pm

  43. Carolyn

I find that John McCain’s no vote was a stupid thing to do. He has insulted all the Reps who voted for him; Illness aside, is it possible that his brain tumor altered his thinking, like Charles Whitman in 1966, in Texas

    July 28, 2017,5:13 pm

  44. Larry Wilcox

McCain is a lying SOB. And the worst kind he runs on a platform promising to repeal Obomacare.

    July 28, 2017,5:08 pm

  45. Howie Mirkin

Bob Uda, Sorry, but McCain and Murkowski were re-elected in 2016 for 6 years and Collins won’t be up for re-election until 2020. The real reason the repeal failed is the ignorant voters in Maine, Alaska and Arizona. Anyone who thinks that we need “moderates” in the GOP is delusional, but that’s what happens when we long ago abandoned the education of children to government indoctrinators.

Let Obama crash & burn. Let the folks that “had” coverage figure out what they need to do and pay for the new plan they find. If the government offers coverage it will only be approved if the gutless Senate & House are on the same plan as everyone else.

  61. Mr. Bruce E. Ruttan

The GOP IS its base. Individuals like The Honorable John McCain have for years acted against those GOP members who have tried to restore the Republican party’s conservative values. That’s not the same as the question. These individuals will continue to do their evil work, the work of Democratic Progressives untill they get voted out.
