Luke 18:1-8 tells the story of a widow faced with injustice at the hands of a harsh judge who would not hear her case, and calls on us to persist no matter what challenges we may face. We do not know the issue at hand for this unnamed widow, but we know that she would not stop until she was treated as she should have been. Too often women, especially widows, are seen as vulnerable and taken advantage of by others and the system, so one must always persist for the things we care most about.
